· Application
- A lifting clamp only for turning over (at 180°) steel plates and various steel blocks.
· Features
- A special lightweight clamp with a safety factor of 3. The NVC-LPS is convenient and fast to turn over an enlarged plate
by butt welding steel plates at shipbuilding plants of shipyards.
- The NVC-LPS has the large pad instead of a jaw in order to minimize the sway of a work piece when turning over it.
- Due to the safety lever, the NVC-LPS is convenient to work with and easy to separate the clamp after lifting thick steel
plates.
- After releasing the lever, the link stops functioning even if the shackle is lifted. Therefore, it is easy to do the biting and
releasing work.
· How to use
- Insert a steel plate into the inside end of the clamp's jaw opening and then lock the safety lever.
- Clamp the center of gravity of the work piece in order to equally distribute the weight of the work piece.
· Warnings
- Do not exceed the rated capacity specified on the clamp because the NVC-LPS is lightweight with a safety factor of 3.
- Lift a work piece only which falls within the jaw opening range specified in the instruction manual.
- For the turnover clamp, it is safe to use sling chains rather than wire ropes. Use chains of the same length. Ensure that
the angle of the chain is vertical to the ground.
- When lifting work pieces, a signal man must be outside the rotation radius of a work piece to send a signal to a crane
operator.
